It has everything one could possibly need. If you go through the main entrance, 20m to the right is a terrific grocery store - Rimi.

There is a small shopping center, exactly 400 steps from the hotel entrance. Two tips concerning services you may require. The WiFi was exceptional- I never had a problem. While this is certainly a boutique hotel, for Americans, it is similar to a Hampton Inn for Europeans, it is similar to an Ibis property, with a good breakfast. So it’s advisable to get there either early or late. If you can live with that, everything else is “smooth sailing.” Breakfast has a wide variety of options, but a word to the wise: when the hotel is full, it can be tough finding a place to sit, especially on weekends. I just stayed 15 nights at this property, so I feel I know it intimately! The location is excellent except for one item: it is directly adjacent to Paddy Whelan’s pub, and several nights a week the pub gets super loud, usually starting about 6 PM, but ending by 10.30 or so. I wish I could give the hotel higher marks, but other than a great location, there's just not much else to recommend this hotel.… But the others were good to excellent, so I can only conclude that this was not what they normally expect from the lodgings they book. If the other hotels we stayed at on this trip were of this quality, I would have chalked it up to the group factor. Not quite in the nasty category, but approaching the line. It had the look and taste of something concocted from whatever fish was left over from earlier meals. We had dinner at the hotel one night with our group and were served some sort of noodle/fish casserole that was less than appealing. Breakfasts were pretty standard buffet with a decent selection. By that time, the maintenance guy left for the day and then was out sick for a few days. To top it off, according the the person on duty the next afternoon, the night clerk had not reported the AC problem. And his response to whether or not any English language news might be available - "just what you see - we don't have any hidden channels". No tissues available for the room, but he did offer me one from the box behind the desk. The evening desk clerk was less than helpful on that and a few other things - like locating Kleenex. Our AC was making a dripping sound all night and although we reported it the first night, after 3 more days, nobody had come to look at it. In fairness to hotel, we were with a group, so we probably did not get one of their better rooms.

But despite the nice photos in the description, the room looked a like it was left over from the Soviet era. Actually, not totally true - the bed was pretty comfortable and the room clean. Great location, but that's about the only thing great about this hotel. Radisson Blu Beach Resort, Milatos Crete.Hotels near Latvian Museum of Photography.
